To Go Far, You Need To Have Passion

To go far, you need to have passion

We human beings have become accustomed to living in a world of absolute duties and absurd commitments. We submit to enormous pressures and end our days full of tension and anxiety.

The society we live in says that we have to do one thing rather than the other, have a certain job or act in a certain way to be successful, and it conveys all these ideas to us as if they were indisputable dogmas.

If we decide to submit to these unnatural, absurd and unreal dogmas, we will feel constantly under pressure, because we will do nothing but think “I must be beautiful!”, “I must be a professional recognized by all!”, “I must educate my children to perfection! ”,“ I have to paint an extraordinary picture! ”, etc.

The curious thing is that, when we let the need to respect an obligation guide us, we unleash what in psychology is called mental block.

When we complete a project full of anxiety and under pressure, the end result is usually mediocre. Which in turn feeds negative thoughts about ourselves, increasing our tension because we think “I should have done better!”.

The secret to getting out of this vicious circle is to start realizing that we are imposing these obligations on ourselves. It is true that our culture, unfortunately, sends us certain superficial messages about how we should be or how we should act, but ultimately we have to decide whether to follow these ideas or not.

It is proven that those who start a new project, personal or professional, without demanding anything from themselves, but only having fun and putting in passion , go much further than those who constantly put themselves under pressure.

The enthusiast works and strives, of course, but he does it with love, because he wants to enjoy what he does: that is his goal. If things go well, even better, but if they don’t go as he hoped or if he fails, he knows it’s not the end of the world.

And if, even so, after many failures, he fails to reach any really high goals, it would not be the end of the world: those with passion know that life offers millions of interesting alternatives to mature, but always enjoying with what we do!

It is important to understand that within us there is still a child who wants to have fun in life, and have fun with others.

Because in the end, the highest goal of the human being is to be happy. And to be happy, you have to remove those boulders from your shoulders, get rid of those “shoulds”, because no one “must” do anything.

When we get rid of these mental chains that we have built for ourselves, we will find that living and being happy is the easiest thing in the world.

Just go out and do what we want to do, without fear of anything or anyone. Without fear of opinion or the approval of society, without fear of failure… Simply, enjoying what we do to the fullest, and doing it because we want it, nothing more.

Suddenly you will realize that your inner child will laugh at everything, because in any situation there is something to laugh about and to play with. Life is this: a game. And playing implies fun, satisfaction, love for life as it is, without demanding and without imposing.

Take a good look: do you have arms and legs? A head that thinks? To eat and drink? Even more than that?

If you have all of this and more, you are in luck. You already have everything you need to let yourself be guided by the power of passion, to do what you like to do, calmly and enjoying it.

Do things because you want, because you want, because you are passionate about it, and not because you have to get something in return, but for your own well-being.

Quit your job in the office if what you are passionate about is being a sculptor or, at least, try to make your way in the area you like. Leave your partner if you know he is hurting you!

Be aware that your daily life, if you have basic certainties, is already resolved. There is nothing to fear, and what you get will be the most rewarding thing you could ever get: your own happiness.

Here is the lesson to be learned: ” From now on, I will let myself be guided by the force of passion and I will put aside the force of obligation “.

To go far, you need to have passion.
