Negative images that dwell in the mind

Who is it that doesn’t feel the desire to see themselves and feel good? We all feel the need to like ourselves,  but not simply from the point of view of the surface. Rather, it is about feeling comfortable, being in agreement with ourselves.

Ask yourself the following question: Why am I not comfortable with myself? Maybe you did something wrong. You may be trying to identify with others, but if this happens it is because you have not yet discovered yourself.


The first step to feeling good about yourself has to come from within. How are you judging yourself, with confidence or with insecurity?


Look in the mirror. What do you see? Do not stop at the external aspect that many times reflects your interior, observe the person you have become, try to understand if what you are is the fruit of yourself or of others.

What happens when we don’t feel comfortable with ourselves? It is a mechanism that is the result of some negative images that, unconsciously, live in our mind without us realizing it. To eliminate them, you need to know them. Which of them will you identify with?

Get rid of the labels

Labels limit us, even if they are sometimes necessary. But what happens with the labels that discredit us?

There are many who, for the duration of our life, do nothing but repeat to us what we are not capable of, showing that they have no faith in us and making us believe that we are worthless.

This causes us to focus on our weaknesses and lose the confidence necessary to believe in ourselves, achieving all the goals we have set ourselves.

Think about the effects this has on you, and why you allow it. You can decide whether or not to accept what they tell you. Who defines you? Others or yourself?


Don’t let anyone tell you what you are like. You are the only ones who can really define yourself.


Begin immediately to ignore the words that discredit you. “You can’t do it, you don’t have the skills” … are phrases that label you as incapable. And you, do you agree? The answer is within you.

Your safety does not depend on others

Do you feel insecure? Does your safety depend on others? Security must reside within you, you must have faith in your possibilities.

Leaning on others is easy, but as soon as that support disappears, you will be helpless. Your safety must not depend on others, but only on you. Don’t allow others to guide you, learn to guide yourself towards your goals and objectives; only in this way will you be able to achieve all that you have set for yourself.

Treasure all the positive words that have been said to you. Instead, leave behind those that hurt you, that tear you down and prevent you from pursuing your dreams.


Appreciate the positive in you, and eliminate all that is negative and take you away from your goals.


Focus your attention on the positives and get to know each other. Your safety must not depend on others, but only on you. Trust yourself and pursue your dreams.

Raise your self-esteem

All these negative images that haunt and upset us will affect our self-esteem in the first place. Are we really willing to allow it?

Self-esteem is fragile: it only takes a few seconds and it can be on the ground. This is why it is important to take care of it and try to keep it in balance.

For starters, don’t let anyone hurt your self-esteem.  You are the only ones who can increase it. Anyone could reduce it, doing it is very easy, but it is only up to you to prevent this from happening, so as to transform yourself into people with unshakable self-esteem.

Push yourself every day and get away from all those who try to destroy your self-esteem. You have to trust yourself, appreciate and love yourself.

Negative images all reside in your mind. It may be that they were imposed on you by children or that you were forced to expose yourself to them. In any case, only you can overcome and cancel them.

It’s all about having faith in yourself and not letting anyone hurt your self-esteem. The confidence needed to defeat all this negativity and resume the path to your goals resides within you, and in you alone. Do not allow yourself to depend on anyone, trust in who you are and in your possibilities.
